The Ministry of Transport website published Notice on Further Encouraging Multimodal Transport, which required a public information platform be built based on LOGINK as well as other information management systems, with the aim to achieve related information sharing.
The State Council relayed the Notice on Implementation Plan of Promoting Integrated Development of Logistics by Creating Favorable Market Environment, originally issued by the National Development and Reform Commission. The Notice stipulated to develop on the foundation of LOGINK a unified RFID-based public information platform to achieve origin-to-destination information collection, sharing and monitoring, and to interface with state-run public transportation platforms like railway, sea and air transportation in order to realize efficient and green cargo flow by assigning unique code to each freight and electronic certification. The Notice also stipulated that the platform should interface with social platforms to facilitate convenient and efficient logistics.
The Implementation Plan for Upgrading Transportation Efficiency and Service Capacity jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Transport clearly defined LOGINK as one of the 100 Demonstration Projects for Improving Transportation Efficiency.
LOGINK released for the first time three categories of government basic service products - standard services, exchange services and public information services on the second World Internet Conference, and launched eight Platform+ application products including applications for logistics park and cross-border e-commerce. The introduction of these products showed the profound changes taken place by connecting to LOGINK.
The State Council in its Medium- and Long-term Plan for the Development of logistics industry (2014-2020) listed the construction of LOGINK as a main task and key project.
Zhang Gaoli, Wang Yang, Ma Kai and other leaders of the State Council made important instructions in the Report on Upgrading Logistics Information by Speeding up the Construction of LOGINK. The report stipulated to construct LOGINK as a state project and related parties should make its due contributions to facilitate the platform construction both on the national and regional level.

Northeast Asia Logistics Information Service Network (NEAL-NET) service interface officially opened, Ningbo - Zhoushan Port, Japan Tokyo - Yokohama Port, Busan Port, totaling three pilot ports, have shared the container ship dynamic information. The international logistics information sharing cooperation mechanism has achieved initial results.
China, Japan and South Korea set up Northeast Asia Logistics Information Service Network (NEAL-NET) logistics information sharing mechanism, which is a milestone of international logistics information sharing.
